The questionnaire I send out will help me understand who you are as a couple and let me hear your wants, vision and dreams! This ensures that I can create the most personalized and meaningful photographs that truly capture your unique relationship.
I really do enjoy every moment I spend researching for you, all in an effort to ensure that you two have the greatest day imaginable. I will spend hours researching, scouting & planning to make you a customized location list, including suggesting backup locations and activity ideas. I'll also assist you with figuring out what permits we may need and will even cover the cost of your photo permit!
This will give you a better idea of "the big picture" & how your day will play out. I'll make sure to do my best to put all your wishes in during our time together.

You are not just hiring a random person to take some photos. This is my livelihood that I have spent endless hours over the years trying to perfect for my couples. You should feel like you are hanging out with a friend, not some stiff, lame photographer who you'll never speak to again because they were outsourced by some photo factory. Which brings me to my next point...
Enjoy the cherished memories of your wedding day for the rest of your lives and have those moments passed down to each generation.
I don't outsource your photos to strangers to do the work for me. I am the one who edit your photos--not a retouching service charging pennies per image for bad edits. Your photos mean more to me than that.
You will always be given as many photos as I can give you. I curate each elopement to every couple and would never put a cap on the amount of images I send you, nor limit the amount you are allowed to download from your gallery.

Hi I'm Heather, your friendly guide for an exciting elopement day! It's truly an honor to be a photographer for these moments. I would like to give the opportunity for couples to create their own day without feeling confined by what is considered to be 'the norm' when it comes to planning a wedding.
I want couples to feel right about the choice they made to have a smaller wedding day. As someone who started out photographing the more traditional side of weddings, once I decided to make my move to California I wanted my business to reflect more of my true personality. California offers so many landscapes varieties, and I want couples to feel inspired by nature.
Every couple is unique, which is why I take the time to get to know you, ensuring that your photos authentically reflect who you are. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and how you feel matters deeply to me. At the end of the day, of course I want us to get nice photos, but more importantley I want you to also feel good about your decisions. Let me be your photographer, your guide, your editor, and your friendly adventure buddy as we embark on this unforgettable journey together!

Many photographers describe their style as either 'light & airy' or 'dark & moody'. I don't place myself into either category-- Style is a lot more than the 'look' of a photo. For me, my style is a laid back journalistic approach. I am there to not only document, but offer guidance when necessary in order to let the moment unfold. I am a bit traditional in the sense that I believe it's important to take getting ready pictures, as it's a huge moment before you begin this important day. Being able to capture your love story in an authentic and not rushed way is a huge part of my style. As I edit your photographs, I keep my photographs true-to-life in terms of color and proper exposure as well. Take a look at my work and decide for yourself if you like my style! 😍
Aww nature! Sometimes it's not 'perfect.' So what if it's drizzling? Let's embrace it! However, if the weather gets so severe that our lives are in danger or my gear can get ruined, we will move to our Plan B that we will have previously agreed upon during our planning sessions.
Not at all! Your elopement should be whatever you want it to be. I consider myself an adventure photographer, but your adventure can be literally anything. It is not a requirement to hike miles on a trail for your wedding day. I can always find more easily accessible spots that do not require that much effort to get to so you can still enjoy some beautiful scenery!
